Channel Ten to only show the Big Bash League from now on

Channel Ten has announced it will show fried chicken enabler ‘the Big Bash League’ 24/7, 365 days a year from now on.

“Things haven’t been going well here for sometime and this is the only idea we’ve got left,” said Channel Ten CEO Hamish McLennan.

“It’s going to be not too dissimilar to our current schedule, actually.”

Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland said he had no idea how they would run the competition 24/7 year round but was excited about all the money.

“This is going to make us a fortune. Anyone who has ever played cricket at any level needs to give me a call. You can start tomorrow.”

Under the plan, 300 new teams will be created, spread across 4 conferences and 13 divisions.

“Basically, anyone who wants to own a BBL franchise can,” said Mr Sutherland.

“All you need is a relatively big backyard and a nickname. Comets would be good or some sort of animal, the Giraffes maybe, I don’t know, I’m just freewheeling here.

“To those people in Canberra always asking for a team, you’re in luck, you’ve now got 17 of them.”

When asked if he was worried about overexposure, Mr Sutherland said he had no idea what that was.

Big Bash League host Mel McLaughlin said she didn’t mind working year-round, if it meant she didn’t have to pretend to care about ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ anymore.
