Ice hockey has a rule called icing which conveniently allows for more advertising. Icing happens all the time (essentially hitting the puck the length of the rink - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Icing_(ice_hockey) It absolutely destroys what is a great spectacle. Now we know why the AFL goes overseas all the time.
